Tony Competelli founder of the National Retirement Group. He has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial industry, specializing in wealth accumulation, wealth protection, and retirement planning. He specializes in annuity and life insurance marketing and Deferred Retirement Option Plans (DROP). He has had his Series 7 since 1987 and graduated with his Bachelors in Finance. He lives in Florida where he moved from New York! Tony originally grew up in Brooklyn and is 100% Italian! These days you can find him enjoying a traditional Italian Sunday dinner near the beach with his 3 daughters who are 19, 29, and 32! He loves the Giants, the Mets, and the Rays!

Mark understands the importance of planning for the unexpected and is dedicated to helping others do just that. He works with all types of clients – from teachers and business owners to nonprofits – to help them protect and grow their savings. Mark skillfully provides actionable steps to help clients improve their situations and get back on track toward their goals.
Growing up in Illinois, Mark spent his weekends and summers working odd jobs. At 12, he was cleaning and restocking his stepfather’s tavern in McHenry. At 17, he was sweeping floors and assembling wood windows at his father’s window manufacturing plant in Des Plaines. Through it all, Mark gained a Midwestern work ethic he still proudly carries.
Over the next 25 years, Mark became the general manager of his father’s plant, overseeing all aspects of the business. When his father retired, Mark bought the business in 1997 and moved it to Algonquin, Illinois.
2001 Mark entered the insurance business. The housing market was booming, and he began selling mortgage protection insurance. He already had years of negotiation experience with vendors and contractors, but now he was also dealing directly with homeowners. . Mark learned to see the power of helping people, which became the cornerstone of his business.
In 2004, Mark moved to Florida to expand his business opportunities. A handful of years later, he was hired by his now partner, Tony Competelli, to work with the Manatee County school staff to go over their 403(b) retirement options. Over the next few years, their business, Tampa Bay Financial Group, expanded across Florida and the country, and National Retirement Group was born.
